Championship 2015: The football season is finally on the horizon and Blackhill will come head to head with Sean Mc Dermotts in the first round of the championship.

Baby Joy: A big congratulations to Paul and Tracey West on the birth of their second child, baby girl, Kate Bernadette.

The Big Engagement: There was great excitement this week as the news broke that Brian Woods was to sit at the top table again. It was the bold Colin who took the plunge onto one knee (apparently similar to the one he does after fumbling a high ball). Luckily he held onto the diamond and got a positive response. Well done Colin and Good Luck Edel.!

Registration: We’ll put the bad news first and yes, it’s that time of year again when full and social membership is due. The good news, however, is that the membership fee will remain the cheapest and without doubt the best value throughout Ireland with both at 10 euro.
