Clontibret Notes

Chairman
Welcome to our new chairman, Aidan Deighan, who has taken up the post in succession to our outgoing chairman, Colm Gormley. A former player and club official, Aidan has been heavily involved in many community and voluntary groups overs a long number of years, and brings a wealth of administrative experience to the job. All at the club wish him well and look forward to working with him in his new role. We take this opportunity again to say a hearty thanks to Colm for all he has done for the club during his thirteen years as chairman.

The Late Pat Brennan
The death of Pat Brennan (RIP) has robbed our club of one of its greatest stalwarts with a legacy of active involvement in club affairs as player, mentor and club official spanning more than 60 years. Pat played on the first Clontibret minor team to reach a county final in 1953, only to lose out to Clones. In the intervening years Pat continued to work for the interests of the club that he loved and took great pride in recent successes. He will be sadly missed by all involved with the O’Neill’s as he was always there to help out with a wise word and more often practical help as required. Sympathy is extended to Mary, their family and wider Brennan circle. Ar Dheis De go Raibh a Anam
