Happy New Year
A very happy and healthy new year to all our members and to all involved in the club in any way.

AGM
A very successful AGM was held before Christmas at which the wonderful achievements of 2014 were reviewed and celebrated, the highlight of which was winning back the Mick Duffy Cup. All positions on the Club Executive were filled with the exception of Chairman. Our outgoing Chairman, Colm Gormley, has given a great thirteen years service and is now stepping down on a high. His tenure as Chairman was widely acclaimed at the meeting as were the many fine achievements of 2014 which were recorded in an extensive Secretary’s Report.
Positions filled at the AGM include: President James Winters Vice President Brendan Magennis
Vice-Chairman: Thomas Greenan, Secretary: Frank McManus, Insurance Officer: Peadar Hughes, Treasurer: Caroline McQuaid, Assistant Treasurers: Martin McCague, Niall Brennan, PRO: Kathy McManus, Registrar: Thomas Greenan, Development Officer: Francis McGuigan, Youth Officers: John Paul Mone, Shane McMahon, Players’ Officer: Conor McManus, Coaching Officer: Padraig McGuigan, Health & Wellbeing Officer: Jerome Savage, Children’s Officer: Caroline McQuaid, Cultural Officer: Hugh Sherlock.

Juvenile Presentation Night
Sunday December 28th saw the annual Juvenile Awards Presentation night take place in Clontibret Community Centre. There was a fantastic turnout of parents, coaches and players alike on the night with county star Conor McManus on hand to present the various awards and impart some superb advice to our future stars. The evening began with a fantastic trophy parade, which demonstrated just how successful a year it was for our underage teams. A host of awards were presented on the evening to mark the achievements of the various teams across all grades. Winners & Runners-Up medals were presented to mark the successes of our u12, u14 and minor teams. A special presentation was also made to mark the achievement of our six players; Dean McDonnell, Dean McGuigan, Dean Brennan, Michael Savage, Jack Gormley and Ross Lowey, together with coach Martin Corey, who helped the Sem win the Rannafast Cup for the first time in 37 years. Club stalwart Kevin Carragher, a member of the successful 1977 Sem team, was on hand to present the commemorative photos and also give some great words of advice to the up and coming stars of the future.
The ‘Most Improved Player’ awards were issued to recognise the all-round performance of players across the various grades. The following players were rewarded for their great year in the O’Neills jersey: U8s Ryan Greenan, U12s James Carey, U14s Brendan Mc Cully, U16s Christopher McDermott. The overall juvenile Most Improved Player award went to Brendan McCully. Brendan was a very deserving winner of this accolade and it was just reward for his starring role in the u14 double winning team.
A special word of thanks to juvenile officer Fergal Mone for organising another successful awards night. Fergal is now relinquishing his role as juvenile officer after five successful years at the helm. He has helped put in place many great structures and increased the focus on player development across all grades from u6 to u16. The array of silverware on display at the awards night was testament to his hard work. We look forward to another successful year in 2015.
