Eurotech Junior League: Our juniors completed their season with their final league outing at home to Killeevan on Sunday last. Nothing could separate these two sides as the game finished all square in the end. Mark Hand had registered 1-1 in the early stages of the game to see them ahead by 1-1 to 2pts and at the end of 16mins played Scotstown still carried the lead by 1-4 to 5pts, with Michael Mc Carville (2) and Shane Rice contributing the scores. Then Killeevan went in front by 8pts to 1-4 but two quick scores in concession through Francis Maguire turned the tide around to the home teams advantage (1-6 to 8), with Jamie Mc Carey extended the lead with a well taken point but as half time approach Killeevan level proceeding to see the teams go into the break at 1-7 to 10pts. In the second half Killeevan went 3pts up in the opening 6mins, a Shane Rice goal two minutes later level things at 2-7 to 13pts, then Francis Maguire restored Scotstown lead with a free but again Killeevan made it all square. Both teams exchanged scores with Mark Hand, Shane Rice & Francis Maguire keeping them in touch, then Killeevan got a late goal to go in front once more but as time was near an end, late points from Mark Hand and Francis Maguire left the match finishing on a final score of 2-13 to 19pts. Credit Union League: There is a full round of senior league games on Sunday, but Scotstown fixture with Clontibret is postponed due their involvement in the Ulster Club game.
Stars in Your Eyes: The club will be looking forward in hosting their own ˝ Stars in Your Eyes ̏ in the club house where 12 Local Acts will entertain the crowd, our local talent have been finalized, it will be a night to remember, so please keep date in your diary were the actual show event will take place in the complex on November 1st. Tickets are available at €10 for the big event.
Spraoi Scor: The club would like to wish our participants the best of luck as they take part in their respective competition of Spraoí Scór, which takes place in Clontibret on Friday 17th Oct at 7pm.
Croke Park: Well done to Daniel Tolan and Dillon Foley who were the lucky ones who got their names pulled out of the hat to represent the Club on the the Croke Park Activity Day last Saturday morning. Both Daniel and Dillon got to experience playing on the Croke Park pitch.
Irish Classes: Ciorcal Gaeilge every Tuesday in the meeting room, sports complex, between 8.30pm-9.30pm. Fáilte roimh gach duine.
