Corduff:

Senior League:

A windswept Corduff last Sunday was the venue for the 18th round of the Monaghan Electric Intermediate League clash between Corduff and Clones. Corduff enjoyed an opening period of dominance  going ahead  by 3 points before Clones registered their first score in the 10th minute followed by another one in the 11th minute with their final score of the half coming in the 16th minute. In what was a low scoring half Corduff scored another point before the interval going in one ahead on a scoreline of Corduff 0-4 Clones 0-3.   In the second half the pace and intensity of the game increased with both teams registering goals and a series of points. Corduff’s first goal came in the 4th minute with the second one in the 18th minute. Clones’s first goal came in the 10th minute with their second one in the 13th minute. By the final whistle both teams were level for the 4th time on a scoreline of 2-09 each. This draw left  Corduff sharing 1st  place on the all important league table with Inniskeen on 23 points and in doing so they have booked a place in the League Semi-Final once again against Clones in Corduff. The dream of reaching the League Final is still very much alive at this stage so congratulations to players and management. Semi Final is scheduled to take place on Sunday 9th November with a 2pm throw in in Corduff.
