Minors
Our minors had a home game against Emerald Sarsfields last Tuesday night. The opposition was a combination between Oram & Blackhill. With Dara Bell away Enda Connolly took over at midfield and had a great game, he scored two points and he was all over the pitch tackling back. Rian Mc Entee stepped in for Enda at centre half back and played very well. Jamie Keenan had an outstanding game at full back and prevented a number of goals. Ryan Connolly must be getting tips from his cousin Rory Beggan as his kick outs were excellent. Mattie Mc Guirk was also full back and caught some great high balls. In the half back line Aaron Mc Nally & Niall Murphy worked very hard and were well on top of the opposition forwards. Niall Kearns attacked from midfield scoring 4 points. Dylan Keenan won great possession on the forwards and never wasted anything. Adam O Driscoll was on the receiving end of Dylan’s passes resulting in Adam scoring 3-5. Goals also arrived from Aidan Ward and Paddy Mc Cabe. Paddy Mc Phillips also worked hard and Dylan Mc Nally’s strength caused problems for the opposition. The score was 1-13 to 3 points at half time. In the second half the following subs were used Ryan Hughes, Shane Kelly, Marty Mc Guirk, Mark Murphy & Damon Hagan. The opposition came back into the match at the end and scored a number of goals. The final score was 5-16 to 5-8. The next match is a championship match so everybody must make training.
