Credit Union League: In a good entertaining game our seniors suffered their 3rd league defeat at home to Blayney on Sunday last. The game was evenly contested, while the lead had been exchanged on a few occasions, as too, both sides were on level terms at different stages, however, Scotstown did carry the advantage going into the break by 7pts to 6. We extended our lead on 3mins of 2nd half but Blayney’s reply was instant and soon they had the upper hand leading by 9pts to 8 on 39mins. Shane Carey free level things quickly & James Turley effort put them in front, as the game was coming to a close the sides were level at 12pts each with 6mins remaining but Blayney finished the game with 3 unanswered points to secure the win. Platinum Tanks Reserve DIV 1A: Our B team will be at home to Monaghan Harps on Saturday 19th July at 7pm. There match with Truagh was cancelled on Wednesday.
Eurotech Junior League: Our third team went down to another defeat away to Aughnamullen on Sunday last. We stayed in touch with the home side for most of the first half, trailing 10pts to 6. In the second half it was the home side’s dominance that resulted in a convincing win for them. Universal Graphic Junior Championship: Rd 2B of the Championship between Toome and our 3rd team will be on Sunday 27th July.
McElvaney Recycling U21 League: Our U21s will play their first competitive game on Friday (Tomorrow) at home to Monaghan Harps at 8pm. Last week’s game was cancelled, Emyvale conceded the match with Scotstown getting the two points.
O’ Duffy Cup: The final of the O Duffy Cup is fixed for Saturday 2nd August between Scotstown and Blayney in Tyholland.
Minor Championship: On Tuesday 22nd July our minors will be away to Truagh in the Championship at 7.30pm
Minor League: Our Minors had a good 1-15 to 1-8 win at home to Killanny on Tuesday week last. Francis Maguire goal on 11mins put them in front by 1-2 to 3 and they continued to dominate the first half were Ciaran Treanor, Shane McMahaon, Rory McCarthy, Jack Turley and Francis registered the scores as the half came to an end on score of 1-8 to 3. Scotstown hit over the opening two scores of the 2nd half through Jamie Mc Carey & Jack Turley. When Killanny hit 1-2 by 31st minute, Scotstown responded well and further points through Jamie Mc Carey, Brendan Boylan, & Jack Turley set them up with a good win. Next league match will be away to Carrick on Tuesday 29th July. U16s: Our 1st team will be at home to Corduff this Thursday evening at 7.30pm. Our 2nd team is away to Clones at 6.45pm
Under 12: Our 2nd team is away to Emyvale on Sat 19th July at 12noon. Our 1st team has a bye in their DIV 1B league
U8s: Training continues every Saturday at 10am for all U8s Boys & Girls in the main playing pitch.
U10s: Our U10s have a challenge game in Kilmore this evening (Thursday) at 6.30pm and on Saturday 19th July they will be taking part in a tournament in Truagh.
