Ulster Championship: Good luck to the Monaghan County team and Management in Clones on Sunday in the Ulster Championship semi-final replay, Armagh staged a late rally to earn a draw in last weeks encounter. Well done to the Scotstown representatives involved, particularly, Rory Beggan as he registered five points on the day, thus earning him the Man of Match. We wish Ciaran, Darren, Shane, Conor and Rory all the best on Sunday in the replay.

 

County Minors: Hard luck to our County Minors who lost by 2pts to Armagh last Saturday. Well done to Caolan McElwain and Francis Maguire who played their part but were unfortunate to come out on the losing end.

 

Credit Union League: In Round 11 of the senior league Scotstown are due to play Castleblayney at home on Sunday 13th July (possible Star Game)

 

Platinum Tanks Reserve DIV 1A: Our B team is due to be away to Truagh on Wednesday 9th July in Rd 9 of the league at 8pm.

 

Eurotech Junior League: Our third team is due to play Aughnamullen away on Sunday 13th July

 

McElvaney Recycling U21 League: Our U21s will start the season with an away game to Emyvale on Friday 11th July at 8pm

 

Minors: The league resumes on Tuesday 8th July with Rd 8 of the league, where Scotstown are at home to KIlanny at 7.30pm.

 

Under 16s: This Thursday evening 3rd July our first team is at home to Truagh at 7.45pm. They were back in action last Thursday and came home with a one point defeat away to Monaghan Harps. They were level on 7mins at 2pts each, with points from Adrian Grew and Ruairi McKenna. The Harps then struck a goal but to their credit Scotstown fought back with three unanswered points through Jack Mohan, Dillon Mc Guirk & Adrian on 18mins. The home team went ahead by 4pts and still our young lads kept plugging on as the sides were level once more, with a Jack Mohan goal & Adrian point to make it 2-3 to 1-6. The harps did have the final say as they went into the break in front by 2-7 to 1-6.  At the start of the second half Monaghan Harps got a goal but Adrian Grew was in form and soon Scotstown were in front on 41mins by 3-8 to 3-7, with scores been exchanged and Leonard McDermott tapping over a score, the Harps held on for a 3-11 to 3-10 win. U16 DIV 4: Our 2nd team will be at home to Cremartin this Thursday evening at 6.45pm in a double header.

Under 12: Our Under 12s will be in action on Saturday, July 5th with a double-header against Finn Rua in Scotshouse. Our B team match starts at 12noon, with our A side playing at 1.15pm.

Ladies County Seniors:  Good luck to the Monaghan Ladies who now play Armagh in the Ulster Final on Sunday July 6th in Clones.
