U12’s
The Killanny U12’s made the long journey to Truagh on Saturday morning past to take on an undefeated Truagh side. Playing with the aid of the breeze in the first half Killanny were quick to settle, with Ciaran Walsh, Kyle Connolly and Oisin Burns all getting on the scoresheet as a result off good approach work from Killian McConnon and Cian Burns. At half time KIllanny led on a scoreline of 3 08 to 0 04
Michael Grimes and James Finnegan were introduced along with Ronan O’Reilly and Conor Burns who were making their debut at U12 level, all four made a significant contribution.In the final third of the game Truagh played with the aid of the elements but there were strong performances in defence from David Leegan, Ciaran O’Reilly, Cillian McGahan and Dara O’ Shea to keep them at bay. In goals Mark Lambe gave a man of the match performance with a string off fine saves. Killanny ran out worthy winners on a scoreline off 3 11 to 1 07. It was a very good performance from the team despite been short a number of regulars due to holidays and injury.
U8 Blitz
Killanny hosted a very well attended blitz on Saturday morning, well done to all concerned.
