Our U16s are in action this week as they take on St. Pats away from home in Drumhowan on Tuesday evening at 7.30. Come down and support the lads on the night as they look to return to action with a win.

Best Wishes:

We would like to wish the best of luck to the Monaghan Seniors as they take on Armagh this Sunday in the USFC Semi Final Replay in Clones at 3.30 especially to our own Padraig Donaghy who will represent the side. Best of luck also to the Monaghan Senior ladies who will also face Armagh in the Ulster Final prior to the mens game at 1.30 but especially to  all the Donaghmoyne girls involved.

Mini Fontenoys continue this Saturday morning from 11-12 in Donaghmoyne, weather permitting. All children from the ages of 5-10 years old are welcome. The cost of the camps are as follows: 1st child 55euro, 2nd child 45euro, 3rd child 40euro each, & 35euro if a child wants to attend another camp (without gear). All Camps cater for 5 to 13 year old boys/girls and they promise to be a great week of fun for all kids to enjoy while picking up all the skills needed for Gaelic football and hurling. Donaghmoyne GFC Golf Classic:

This year saw the return of the Annual Donaghmoyne GFC Golf Classic sponsored by ‘Colemans Pub’ of Laragh. It took place on Friday in Mannan Castle Golf Club.  Thankfully the weather held up ok on the day to allow the golfers play in great conditions. The classic was a huge success and we’d like to congratulate all the winners and to all who took part. We’d also like to thank Mannan Castle Golf Club for allowing us use their brilliant facilities as always. Aswell as that we’d like to thank our main sponsor ‘Colemans Pub’ of Laragh and of course all our sponsors who made the day possible and the success that it was.

Lotto Sellers Wanted:

Any children in the parish who would be interested in taking up a lotto selling route would be more than welcome as we would like to cover more and as much of the parish as possible. Each child selling lottos will also receive a commission. Anyone interested can contact Brian on 0872915864.

Mouthguards:
Gum Shields have now become compulsory for both training and matches in the season ahead. It’s important all juvenile players and senior players have their mouthguard in place before entering the playing grounds. At Annual Congress in April 2012, a new rule was enacted that made it mandatory to use a mouthguard in all Gaelic football matches and training sessions from January 1st 2013 for all age grades up to and including minor. The rule will now come into effect at Under 21 and Adult level from January 1st 2014. Players will not be covered under the player injury scheme if they are not wearing a mouthguard.

Lucozade Sport Bottle Caps:

The Lucozade Sport Bottle Caps for the Donaghmoyne Club Crusade can be dropped into any of the 4 schools in the Parish, Mc Caugheys shop and also Lisdoonan Shop. Please Support.
