Shalotto

There was no winner of the Shalotto held in Atkinson’s Shamrock Bar on the 29th June 2014.  Numbers Drawn were: 2-12-15-22.  Lucky Dip Winners: Boylan Family C/o Syl Mulligan, Phil Brannigan, Annagh, Una Woods, Cremartin, Oisin Branigan,Lismagunshion and Lorraine Brennan, Drumakelly.  This weekend’s Jackpot is €2,900 and our draw will take place in the Social Club on Sunday evening next. You may join the Annual Shalotto Scheme by contacting any member of the Club Committee.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL Shalotto tickets must be handed in by 9.30 p.m. every Sunday evening to ensure that they go into the draw.

FUNDRAISING DRAW

After 20 long hard weeks and a tremendous effort from all our great ticket sellers, our Fundraising Draw took place last Saturday night in the Club.  Congratulations to Donna Culleton, Shercock, winner of our €6,000 Jackpot and congratulations to Edel Magee, Inniskeen, who won our second prize of €1,000.00.  Congratulations also to each of our €100 winners: Ann Donaghy, Annagh; PJ Brennan, Annyalla; Peter McSkeane, Oram; Darren McQuillan, Killycard; Niall Lavery, Laragh; Sam Masten; Dan Curley, Monaghan; Jim Whitecroft, Middletown; Pat McCaughey, Broomfield and G. Keenan, Killygola.  Presentations will be made this Saturday night 5th July at 9pm in the Club.

A big thank you to each and every person who purchased tickets and supported our Draw and our Club.  To all our ticket sellers, thank you so much for giving up your free time and for all the effort put in since February.  A special word of thanks has to go to Mary Carragher for all her hard work in recording all ticket sales, sending out text messages and keeping everything in order.  Thanks to all our very loyal supporters and to everyone who made this draw our most successful one yet.  Well done everyone!!

 

JUVENILES

U-12s: Our U12 team. sponsored by Shortts Butchers, are away to Magheracloone this Saturday at 12 noon.

U-16: Our U-16’s sponsored by C.B. Flooring are away to Scotstown tonight at 7pm.

 

Congratulations: to Killian Carragher who came 2nd overall in the County Schools Gaelic Skills competition recently while Connor Brennan and Eanna Sherry acquitted themselves very well in the hurling competition.

 

Blitz: Well done to all our U-8’s and U-10’s who took part in a very successful double blitz which we hosted last week.  A big well done to Regina for organising the event and ensuring that everything ran smoothly.  Also a big thank you to all the ladies who helped with the refreshments.

 

Good luck: to the Monaghan Ladies and Men this Saturday in their respective games against Armagh!!

 

New G.A.A For All Inclusive Cul Camp in Monaghan

Monaghan Sports Partnership is delighted to announce details of  the new upcoming G.A.A For All Inclusive Cul Camp in conjunction with Monaghan G.A.A Kelloggs Cul Camps for children with a disability between the age 5 -14 years.  This camp is unique in that it can cater for children with physical, intellectual, learning and sensory disabilities which is a fantastic way to promote social interaction through the medium of sport and physical activity.  See www.monaghangaa.ie for more details and how to register.

 

Free Irish Language Course for GAA Members – 21-25 July

The Ulster Council’s Irish language course for GAA members will take place in Downings, Co. Donegal once again for the 26th consecutive year, from 21 to 25 July 2014 – and it will be FREE to GAA members.  See www.monaghangaa.ie for more info.
