Firstly bitter disappointment for the Monaghan seniors who found the Donegal defence just too good on Sunday. They showed determination, guile and hunger but this challenge was just a bridge too far. The lads will now regroup for the qualifiers and a revitalised Kildare team. Saturday 5th August.
A huge thankyou: to everyone who helped out on Sunday at the game. There was no question of the effort that was put in this year. Program sellers, shop workers, Icecream sellers to stewards take a big bow it wouldn’t have happened without you. The organisation behind the scenes to with the executive tireless in their efforts. Everything went off without a glitch, testament to the talent we have in our midst.
Bus to Croke Park: If there is enough interest expressed in running a bus to the Monaghan v Kildare game in Croke Park, then the club will arrange it with Conlon Travel to run a bus.
Can you please email secretary.clones.monaghan@gaa.ie if you would like to go by bus. The cost should be similar to last year Adult – €20, Juvenile – €8.
