The seniors pushed on midway through the second half to record a fine victory in a tie that looked in the balance up until that point. A brace of goals from Michael Geehan was decisive. The prize is a place in round two v Aghabog this weekend.
MFC Corduff 9-18 Emerald Sarsfields 3-10
After a competitive first half an under strength minor team succumbed to a heavy defeat against the divisions leading side away in Corduff. With two league games left to play the all-important player development has been in evidence for much of the season.
