Inniskeen Camogie Notes:
On Sat 31st May our underage camogs and hurlers took part in an Ulster council blitz that was held in Cloughan.
Basking in glorious sunshine, the Inniskeen team took to the field in their new kit and put on a fantastic display of skill and determination. The team played 5 matches against Carrickmacross, Drumgoon, Castleblayney, Clontibret and Kill.
Inniskeen narrowly lost the first game but in the second game they got into their stride and began to put all their coaching into practice. This was reflected on the scoreboard as they registered a win in that game. With confidence high and a pure determination not to lose, our plucky team went on to register great wins in the subsequent 3 games, much to the delight of the coaches and parents who were getting caught up in the excitement of it all.
Well done to the team: Ciara Shevlin, Aine Shevlin, Lara McGrath, Kyra McGrath, Holly Breen, Shona McHugh, Conor Jones, Ciaran Finnegan & Darragh Finnegan. Underage training continues on Tuesday evening at 7pm in Grattan Park.
Senior training also continues on Tuesday at 7.45pm with Eddie. With exams in full swing there is a break in competitive games however challenge matches are being organised and Lorraine will be in touch soon with details.
Finally, Ádh mór oraibh to all those sitting their Leaving and Junior Cert Exams.
