Final Action- We play in the first Monaghan final of the year this Sunday when our minor hurlers play in the league final this Sunday at 12pm in Monaghan against Cootehill. We encourage supporters to come along and support the boys.

Seniors: Our seniors played 2 league games over the last week. On Wednesday last we suffered an away defeat against Magheracloone, 0-9 to 1-11. We were second best in the first half of this match and went into the break 0-1 to 1-8 behind. Though efforts were raised in the second half, we failed to match Mageracloone and fell short by 5 points in the end. In our second game on Sunday last, we responded with a comprehensive 3-11 to 0-11 home win over Latton.  We took early control in the game going 4 points up after 16 minutes with points coming from Niall McMeel, Adam Treanor and 2 from Chrissy McAnanley. Latton reduced their arrears to 2 points by the 20th minute. We then registered 3 more points against Latton’s 1 to hold a four point margin by the 25th minute. We then increased this lead with 2 goals in a minute, taken by Chrissy McKenna and Neil McRory, to go 10 points ahead in the 26th minute. Latton finished the half with 2 points to leave the half time score Gaeil Triucha 2-7 Latton 0-5. Latton resumed the second half the hungrier and had reduced their deficit to 4 points by the 50th minute to leave the scores 2-8 to 0-10. However a second goal from Chrissy McKenna in the 53rd minute eased the pressure and we ran out comfortable 3-11 to 0-11 winners in the end to record our 3rd win of the campaign.
