Wed. 7th May v Clones : Clones 2-11 Seans 1-12
Sun 11th May v Corduff
Sunday last saw the visit of Corduff to Threemilehouse. The game started with early scores coming from Corduff with points from play. James Mc Aleer came came close with a goal chance which skewed wide of the posts. This was quickly followed by the Seans opening point from Damian Larkin. A second from Larkin quickly followed. The game was tough and a sweeping move through the heart of the Corduff defence brought a deliberate foul and a penalty to the home side. Damian Larkin duly slotted the ball home. A further point from Niall Kearns was the total scoring for the first half for the Seans. Corduff had a prolonged period of pressure towards the end of the first half and this resulted in a goal and two points without reply and a two point advantage at the interval. This could have been much more but for the saves of Murt Clear in goals. The second half started with a goal from Corduff however the Seans dug deep and picked off some excellent points. The introduction of Adam O Driscoll lead to his two well taken points. A great solo effort from Brian Mc Quaid from midfield scoring wonderful goal and gave the team the slight cushion which would prove decisive. Although a late rally by Corduff in the five minutes of injury time left it a nervous finish the Seans held out for a notable victory 2-9 to 2-7
Minor Team
The minors played a home game last week against Inniskeen. After a good start they conceded some easy goals which left very little between both sides at half time. The early ball into Adam O Driscoll worked well for a while who scored some good long range points. Iniskeen then put a sweeper in front of Adam. Aidan Ward worked hard and score some good points. Niall Kearns & Dara Bell played at midfield and appeared all over the pitch. In goals Ryan Connolly kept the Seans in the match with some vital saves. Rian Mc Entee & Jamie Keenan were very solid in defence. The half back line of Niall Murphy Enda Connolly & Aaron Mc Nally tackled hard and held the Inniskeen attack. Dylan Keenan played full forward and won some vital balls. The strength of Dylan Mc Nally also caused problems for Iniskeen. Paddy Mc Phillips had a good game and ran at the defence. Ryan Hughes came on when the defence started to tire and Paddy Mc Cabe also came on and played well. The Seans were well on top in the second half but missed some clear cut scores, however they held out and won 1-14 to 3-7
