Development League
The domestic season for camogie opened this week when Clontibret were at home to Castleblaney as the Development League got underway on Wednesday with a 12 a-side format.(Report next week)
The league has been introduced on a trial basis to facilitate clubs who are struggling in the County. Both Castleblayney and Clontibret who will line out later in the season for the Senior County League will field without their stronger players in this competition.
Clontibret take on Inniskeen next Monday 12th May at 7.30pm.
U10 and U12 Blitz
Ulster camogie are organising an U10 and u12 blitz in Cloghan, on Saturday 31st May. All Ulster camogie clubs are invited to attend.
The focus of the blitzes is on FUN and DEVELOPMENT so the blitzes are 7-a-side with panels of 10 allowed per team. Clubs are encouraged to enter as many teams as possible to give every child the opportunity to take part.
The details for this year’s blitzes are as follows:
– Saturday 31st May in Cloghan, Co Monaghan @ 10.30am
The entry form can be downloaded and should be returned with the entry fee of £10/€10 per team per blitz to Lisa McAliskey at 8-10 Market St, Armagh, BT61 7BX before Friday 23rd May.
Ulster Council Meeting
An Ulster Council meeting will take place in the Ulster GAA Offices Abbey Street tomorrow Friday 9TH May at 7pm.
