The seniors got off to a good start in their Senior Championship Campaign with a win over Doohamlet at Castleblayney on Sunday Evening Last. The team lined out as Follows 1.Sean Farmer,2.Kevin Farrelly,3.Eddie Lennon,4.Owen Coyle,5.Stephen Fitzpatrick,6.Kieran Duffy,17.Darren Mc Elroy,8.Stephen Mc Elroy,9.Aiden Farmer,10.Thomas Lynch,11.Thomas Connolly,12.Dermot O’Brien,13.Hugh Mc Elroy,18.Stephen Mc Cabe,15.Owen Duffy.
The first half was a very Close encounter in Slippery conditions with the Half time score 0-3 to 0-2 in favour of Latton. The second half continued as a close encounter however Latton emerged on Top in last 10 Minutes. Good performances on the Night from the Young players Stephen Mc Cabe & Thomas Lynch together with the experienced players seen Latton see out this victory. The Scorers were Kieran Duffy 0-1,Aiden Farmer 0-1,Hugh Mc Elroy 0-2,Owen Duffy 0-2,Stephen Mc Cabe 0-3. Substitutions on the evening were Mark Duffy for Darren Mc Elroy and Patrick Shannon for Thomas Lynch. The final Score was Latton 0-9-Doohamley 0-7.
