Shalotto

There was no winner of the Shalotto held in the Social Club on the 11th May 2014.  Numbers Drawn were: 2-3-9-18.  Lucky Dip Winners: Malachy Mulligan, Kathleen Culleton, Fred Prunty, Tony Boyd and Jack Carragher.  This weekend’s Jackpot is €2,200 and our draw will take place in Atkinson’s Shamrock Bar on Sunday evening next. You may join the Annual Shalotto Scheme by contacting any member of the Club Committee.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL Shalotto tickets must be handed in by 9.30 p.m. every Sunday evening to ensure that they go into the draw.

Cremartin v Inniskeen

We welcomed Inniskeen to Shamrock Park on Wednesday week last where in another tightly contested game we were defeated by the narrowest of margins once again on a scoreline of Cremartin 3-8 Inniskeen 3-9.  Team and scores: Damien Lavelle, Declan Farrell, Patrick McGuigan, Kevin McVicar, Josh McWilliams, Ronan Burke, Shane Burke, Niall Flanagan, Cathal Atkinson, Kevin Atkinson, Mark Magee (1-0), Shane Burke, Declan Mulligan, Kevin Brennan (1-7) and Ryan McVicar (1-1).  Subs used: Patrick McNally, Ryan Carragher, Liam McVicar and Jonathan McGuigan.

 

Cremartin v Tyholland

We travelled to Tyholland on Saturday night last for our sixth game of the league.  We led by four points at the break and despite the difficult conditions in the second half we held onto our lead and emerged the victors on a scoreline of Cremartin 0-8 Tyholland 0-5.  Team and scores: Damien Lavelle, Declan Farrell, Patrick McGuigan, Liam Atkinson, Shaun Buckley, Jonathan McGuigan, Josh McWilliams, Niall Flanagan, Shane Burke (0-1), Kevin McVicar, Ronan Burke (0-1), Kevin Atkinson, Patrick McNally (0-1), Kevin Brennan (0-2) and Ryan McVicar (0-3).

 

JUVENILE NEWS

 

U-10’s have a blitz this Saturday in Eire Og from 10-12pm.

 

U-12’s, sponsored by Shortts Butchers, played Magheracloone last Friday evening and the crowd were treated to a great display of football from both teams.  Team: Joseph Shevlin, James McElerney, Oisin Branigan, Dylan Kerr, Ena Sherry, Killian Carragher, Conor Eccles, Barry John Grimley, Conor Carragher, Miki Carville, Conor Brennan, James McVicer, Ciaran Brannigan, Jamie Hanley, Daithi Shevlin, Stephen Mooney, David Moorehead, Philip McNally and Oisin Duffy.

 

U-14’s, sponsored by Gerry’s Takeaway, have a home game against Eire Og on Saturday at 12 noon.

 

U-16’s, sponsored by CB Flooring, play Scotstown at home tonight. This is the last game before the exams.

 

Congratulations: to Jack Carragher and Jack Branigan who were recently selected for the U14 County Development Squad.  Well done boys on a great achievement.

 

Speedy recovery: We would like to pass on our best wishes and wish a speedy recovery to Vincent Drum who is recovering from a recent operation.

 

FUNDRAISING DRAW

Cremartin GAA’s Fundraising Draw will take place in Cremartin Social Club on Saturday 28th June 2014 with a total of €8,000 to be won!  1st Prize €6,000; 2nd Prize €1,000; plus 10 prizes of €100.  Tickets €20 each or 3 for €50.00.  Tickets are available now from all Committee Members.  Thank you for your support.

Ticket Sellers: Could any ticket sellers with 1,2 or 3 tickets etc sold please hand in asap as they all add up.   Anyone who is willing to help out with selling tickets please contact any Committee Member asap.  Your Club, Your Future!

 

CONCUSSION AWARENESS WORKSHOP

A Concussion Awareness Workshop will be held on Wednesday 21st May in Cloghan at 7:30pm and will be delivered by Ulster Council Staff.   This workshop is designed for players, parents and coaches and anybody who does first aid within the club from all levels/age groups.  Attendance at this workshop could really save a life.  For more details go to www.monaghangaa.ie.
