Shalotto

There was no winner of the Shalotto held in the Social Club on the 4th May 2014.  Numbers Drawn were: 3-13-17-21.  Lucky Dip Winners: Henry Brennan, Tasson, Keith McChesney, Lorraine Brennan, Drumakelly, Caolan Gorman, Tasson and Karina Carroll, Annyalla.  This weekend’s Jackpot is €2,000 and our draw will take place in Atkinson’s Shamrock Bar on Sunday evening next. You may join the Annual Shalotto Scheme by contacting any member of the Club Committee.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL Shalotto tickets must be handed in by 9.30 p.m. every Sunday evening to ensure that they go into the draw.

SENIORS

Our Senior team picked up our first two points of the league with a comprehensive win over Emyvale last Friday night on a scoreline of Cremartin 1-14 Emyvale 0-7.  Teams and scores: Damien Lavelle, Declan Farrell, Patrick McGuigan (0-1), Liam Atkinson, Shane Burke, Jonathan McGuigan (0-1), Kevin McVicar, Niall Flanagan, Cathal Atkinson, Patrick McNally, Shane Burke (1-4), Declan Mulligan (0-1), Ryan McVicar (0-1), Kevin Brennan (0-4) and Ronan Burke (0-1).  Subs: Mark Magee (0-1), Josh McWilliams, Kevin Atkinson and Mark Gormley.

 

JUVENILE NEWS

 

Our U-6’s, U-8’s and U-10’s, sponsored by Flanagan Foods, continue their training each Friday evening from 6.30-7.30pm

U-12

Our U-12’s, sponsored by Shortt’s Butchers play Magheracloone at home on Friday at 7pm. Please come along and support.

U-14

Our U14’s sponsored by Gerry’s Takeaway are doing well in the Division 3 table and were due to play Drumhowan away on Tuesday evening last.

U-16

Our U-16’s, sponsored by CB Flooring, had another good win over Rockcorry last Thursday night.  Team and Scorers on the night were: Nathan McWilliams (C) (0-2); Jordan Carville; David Hanley (1-7); Philip McGuigan (1-1) ; Hugh Brannigan (2-0) Stephen McNally; Cathal Kerr; James Carville (2-2); Caolan Carragher (1-1); Shane Mulligan; Jack Carragher; Dean Mooney; Ryan Brannigan; Caolan Gorman.

They play Scotstown tonight which will be the last game before the exam break.

 

MINORS

Our Minors had another good win last Tuesday night when we welcomed our neighbours Doohamlet to Shamrock Park.  In a very evenly contested and thrilling game our Minors emerged victorious on a scoreline of Cremartin 3-13 Doohamlet 1-18.  Team and scores: Darragh Duffy, Enna Malone, Terry Kerr, Shane Mulligan, Cathal Kerr, Ciaran Hanley, Barry Kerr, John Leonard, Kevin McVicar (0-5), Vidas Rukis, James Carville, Shane Carragher (1-0), Mark Brennan (2-03), James Lavelle (0-1), Aidan Kerr (0-3), David Hanley (0-1)Subs: Hugh Brannigan, Conor McNally and Matthew Atkinson.  Our Minors were due to play St. Tiarnach’s last Tuesday night in their last game before the exam break.  See our social media sites for result or www.monaghangaa.ie.

 

FUNDRAISING DRAW

Cremartin GAA’s Fundraising Draw will take place in Cremartin Social Club on Saturday 28th June 2014 with a total of €8,000 to be won!  1st Prize €6,000; 2nd Prize €1,000; plus 10 prizes of €100.  Tickets €20 each or 3 for €50.00.  Tickets are available now from all Committee Members.  Thank you for your support.

Ticket Sellers: Could any ticket sellers with 1,2 or 3 tickets etc sold please hand in asap as they all add up.   Anyone who is willing to help out with selling tickets please contact any Committee Member asap.  Your Club, Your Future!

 

COUNTY OPEN NIGHT – CLOGHAN 9TH MAY 2014

The 2014 County Open Night will take place in Cloghan this Friday night at 8pm. Everyone young and old will have the opportunity to meet county players from the various different codes.  They will get the chance to get players’ autographs and get their photo taken with them. We encourage people to submit the photos via twitter using the hashtag #mymonhero

Also present on the night will be a DJ and face painters. Wristbands, car stickers, autograph cards and mini flags will be given away.  We also encourage people to bring their pens and pencils to get the autographs.  Finally, on the night Monaghan Coaching and Games Staff will be organising various mini games that children can test themselves against County​ Players.  Please come along and support!

 

CONCUSSION AWARENESS WORKSHOP

A Concussion Awareness Workshop will be held on Wednesday 21st May in Cloghan at 7:30pm and will be delivered by Ulster Council Staff.   This workshop is designed for players, parents and coaches and anybody who does first aid within the club from all levels/age groups.  Attendance at this workshop could really save a life.  For more details go to www.monaghangaa.ie.

 

O’NEILL SHAMROCKS

There is a blitz for U-10 and U-12 players this Saturday 10th May in Cloghan.  All players to be in Cloghan at 10.15 a.m.

 

Lisnagrieve Fire Appeal:    

The Committee organising the Lisnagrieve Fire Appeal are at present carrying out house to house collections to raise funds for this worthy cause, a big thank you to everyone who has already contributed.  Our next meeting is scheduled for 9 pm Wednesday, 14th May 2014, in Lisnagrieve Hall.  Anyone who is in a position to help in anyway would be most welcome.
