Credit Union League: A hat trick of goals from Orin Heaphey helped Scotstown seniors to another league win over Currin on Wednesday week last. The home team had a commanding lead at the interval and when a fourth goal was put away nicely by Stephen Sherry when introduced 10mins into the second half the game had been long over as a contest as the game ended on a score of 4-18 to 8pts. Junior League: Our Junior team had suffered two recent defeats, first one away to Eire Og on Wednesday last, where the performance was poor and lost by 1-16 to 6pts. Then on Sunday 20th April they were at home to Aughnamullen and lost by 1-5 to 10pts. Both teams went into the break level at 1-2 to 5pts, with Scotsown’s opening score coming on 12mins from Ruairi Sheehan, followed by a Ross McKenna point. A Donnacha Dolan goal on 16mins gave the home side a brief lead but Aughnamullen soon level matters. The second half was tight with the team’s level on three occasions, Cian Mohan kept Scotstown in the game with some fine saves, while Jack McDevitt and Shane Rice perform well, and a Ruairi Sheehan penalty on 23rd minute had been saved but responded quickly to slot over the bar. Scotstown had a good last ten minute spell and possible could have had something from the game but Aughnamullen two insurance points meant they went away with the win. Reserve League DIV 1: Our B team Played Monaghan Harps on Wednesday evening last. There next outing will be a round six match away to Magheracloone on 21st May

Minors: On Tuesday 29th April away to Monaghan Harps at 7.30pm. Last Tuesday our minors suffered a third defeat in a row, this time away to Donaghmoyne. The game was won in the first half as they trailed by 3-10 to 1-6, with Conor McKenna (1-3), James Corley (0-2), Conor Bogue (0-1) was the highlight of the first half scores. The second half was much tighter with Jack Turley converting a penalty and further points through Conor McKenna and Shane McMahon to leave the final outcome 4-16 to 2-11
U16 DIV 1: This Thursday evening 24th April away to Corduff at 7pm. On Thursday 1st May our lads will be at home to St Pats at 7.30pm. Spring League: Pl note the change Our U12A team in Zone C will play on Friday 25th April against Finn Rua in Currin at 7.15pm. Our U12 B team in Zone D will still go ahead on Saturday at 12noon in Scotsthouse, Currin against Finn Rua.
U10: Training will begin on Saturday 26th April at our main playing field at the complex for our U10s, starting at 4pm
Senior Scór: Good Luck to our quiz team- Martin & Seamus Mullen, Ian Mc Quaid and Seamus Tracey who compete in the All Ireland Senior Scór on Saturday in Castlebar. The quiz has changed this year- all County winners go through to an all-Ireland table quiz.

TYDAVNET HANDBALL: Congratulations to David Treanor who won the novice 4 County Handball Championship at the weekend when he defeated St Mellans Gary Todd in the final.

NFL Final: Good Luck to Malachy O Rourke and his selectors as they take the Monaghan County Team to Croke Park on Sunday for the National League DIV 2 final against Donegal. We wish Rory Beggan, Shane Carey, Darren & Kieran Hughes all the best on Sunday as they are part of the county panel.
