Monaghan Farney Academy Easter Camps took place this week in Magheracloone (75 participants), Ballybay (78 participants) Clones (81 participants) & Scotstown (66 participants). In all we had 300 boys and girls aging from 5 to 13 years old taking part in the 3 day camp. Monaghan Coaching & Games Development Committee would like to thank the host clubs for allowing us to use their excellent facilities and also for their support in promoting the camps within there area. Additionally we would like to thank coaches, camp co-ordinators, parents & children who attended the camp and for their continued support. Finally to our county players Gavin Doogan, Conor McManus, Kieran Hughes & Colin Walsh for attending the camps on the last day to present awards.
Over the 3 day camp U12 players had the opportunity to win a prize to take part in the half time game between Monaghan & Donegal on Sunday in Croke Park. The following players were selected; Tristan Moyna, Micheal Hamill, Liam Duffy, Eoin Duffy, Aaron Smyth, James Cadden, Ryan Nolan, Niall Meegan, Jack Doogan & Ryan Farrelly.
