Minors

Cill Eanna 2g 13p

Carrickmacross 1g 11p

This was a keenly contested game played in Pairc Eanna on Tuesday last. Killanny who were numerically disadvantaged came out on top  with some great displays from Conor Russel, Jack Kieran, Jamie Berg, Michael McBride. Marc Grimes, Shane Gartlan and Daniel Leegen.

Juveniles
U12’s
Our U12’s had their first game of the year on Saturday last. Played in wintery conditions in Corduff, the Killanny boys made light off the conditions and raced into an early lead which they never surrendered. In goals Mark Lambe was in commanding form never putting a foot wrong, he was well supported by the tiggerish defending of James Finnegan, John Gartlan, and Mickey Grimes. The half backs of Tomas Gartlan, Jack Guinan and Dara O’Shea on numerous occassions turned defence into attack. There were impressive displays in the midfield area from Kyle Connolly, Oisin Burns and Ciaran O’Reilly ensuring Killanny always had the upper hand in this area. In the half foward line James Callan, Cian Burns, Ciaran Finnegan and Cillian McConnon were busy through out and gave their markers a torrid time. It was a day our fowards definitely had their shooting boots on with David Leegan, Ciaran Walsh and Cian McNulty in deadly form.
It was an impressive display from the Killanny lads but they will know that there will be sterner tests in the year ahead.
