Inniskeen Camogie Notes

Our first competitive match of the year yielded a well deserved win over St Brides of Knockbridge in the Louth League last Thursday evening in Grattan Park.

Playing with the breeze Inniskeen enjoyed majority possession and by half time had a 1.03 to 0.01 lead. In the second half though, Knockbridge came out in fighting form and really piled on the pressure. However the Inniskeen defense performed brilliantly and snuffed out any real threat on goal.

Inniskeen added another 1.02 to their tally and finished comfortable winners on a 2.05 to 0.03 scoreline. Team & scorers: Gemma Woods, Sinead Hilliard, Edel Kieran, Leona McKenna, Claire Deery, Linda Callan (Capt)(0.01) Sharon McGahon (0.03) Julianne Finnegan (1.00), Kim Keenan, Mairead Monahan (1.01) Gillian Hamill.

There will be no underage training this Sunday (Easter Sunday) but it will resume the following Sunday April 27th at 11.45am. There have been great numbers of children and parents attending so far – keep up the good work!
