Seniors:

Round 2 of The Monaghan Electric Intermediate Football League proved to be a crowd puller when Corduff hosted Donaghmoyne last Saturday evening.

Donaghmoyne were faster out of the traps with the 1st score after a minute and a half. Corduff playing against a strong wind were slow to respond  registering their first score in the 14th minute followed by another in the 18th minute which were the only 2 scores from Corduff in the first half. Donaghmoyne outplayed Corduff in the first half and by the break Corduff  trailed by 7 points on a score line of 0-9 to 0-2. After the interval there was somewhat of a turnabout with Corduff dominating play and the scoreboard. By the 20th minute Corduff were right back in the game after a superb goal from Keith McEnaney left just a point between the sides. In the last quarter the game was within reach but Donaghmoyne ended winners on a final score line of 0-14 to 1-9.

League action continued last night Wednesday when Corduff hosted Inniskeen and this Sunday, Easter Sunday Corduff are away to Cremartin with throw in at 2pm. Once again we urge all Corduff supporters to come out and support the teams in action this week.
