Seniors: St. Tiarnach’s Pk on Saturday evening was the location for a greta game of football against Cremartin. Cremartin got of to a flyer with the away team leading by four points with 25 minutes gone, points by Fintan Kelly and Daragh Holland brought the deficit to two points and at HT Clones 0:06 Cremartin 0:08. Half time team talk must’ve been good as Clones came out with renewed impetus; Clones drew level and soon took the lead by a solitary score. It was the kind of game where a goal for either side would decide it. This goal fell to Clones, a great ball was played in by Sarto Quigley, ball dynamite then left the boot of Fintan Kelly and Clones held onto this advantage until the final whistle. Clones 1:13 Cremartin 0:13, Colin McCaughey, Ben Daly, Micheál Treanor, Paul Connolly, Fintan Kelly (1:02), Paul Shiels, Daragh Graham, John McDonald, Ethan Audley, Cian O’Connor (0:01), Daragh Holland (0:01), David Freeman (0:01), Sarto Quigley, Emmo McEntee (0:01), Adrian Alford(0:07).
