Alpha Lotto – Results for last Sunday nights draw were G,A,F,O. There was no winner. Lucky Dip winners Geraldine Treanor, Mulladuff, Anthony Mullen, Mulladuff, Una Neeson, Mullindava, Damien Casey, Smithboro, McBride Family, Newtownbutler, Veronica O’ Rourke, Magherarney, Mary Logue, c/o Clones Golf Club. Congratulations and thanks to all our supporters and sellers. Next Sunday jackpot will be €5,500. We would encourage all of you to participate in the Lotto and spread the word among your family and friends. If you are not in you can’t win.

Operation Transformation – Over 70 people turned up on Saturday last to participate in either the 4 mile walk or the 5k run. The atmosphere was one of success as everyone who took part put in a great performance.The top 10 finishers in the 5k run were… 1st: Caine Toal 26.30, 2nd: Raymond Leonard 26.40, 3rd: Anne Croarkin 28.08, 4th: Margaret Mc Elroy 28.28, Joint 5th: Gussie Mc Gorman and Declan Mc Elroy 28.50, 6th: Cormac Connolly 30.00, 7th: Brenda Mc Quaid 32.08, Joint 8th: Tanya Donohue and Aisling Sheridan 32.26, 9th: Brendan Mc Mahon 33.38 and Joint 10th: Mickey Mc Bride and Eileen Cadden 35.33.Also a huge well done to our club leader, Mickey Mc Bride, who lost a total of 2 stone 5lbs since Jan 1st. Mickey has shown alot of commitment to getting himself fitter over the last couple of months, and we wish him continued success in his transformation. Thank you to all members who donated money to charity, a total of €355 was raised for Cystic Fibrosis. Also a huge thank you to the Smithboro hall committee for allowing the club to use the community hall as a meeting point for the last 4 months. Finally the club would like to wish its members many more happy miles of walking over the coming spring and summer months, and we look forward to seeing you all again in early November!

Ladies Reserves: A very under strength Reserve team had their second game of the new league season against O’Neill Shamrocks in Cremartin on Sunday. Although the girls gave their all, they again ended up on the wrong end at the final whistle. With a couple of weeks to our next game hopefully the girls will put in a big effort on the training field.

Ladies Under 14’s: Training for Under 14’s tomorrow Friday from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. Full attendance please.

Ladies Under16s’ and Minors: Check with team mentors for next training.

Membership – membership rates for 2014 will remain unchanged at €20 and can be paid to Enda McCluskey. We would encourage existing club members to renew their subscriptions as soon as possible and we would sincerely welcome any newcomers wishing to join.

Presentation Night – Our annual Club Presentation night will be held on Saturday the 8th March in the Skule Inn. It is hoped a large crowd will gather to reflect and celebrate our year and in particular to congratulate the reserve and minor footballers who will receive their league winning medals. There will also be a number of other awards given out on the night.

Committee Meeting – the monthly meeting will take place on Monday night at 8.30pm.

Mens Reserve Football – play at home to Rockcorry this Saturday at 4pm.
