Lotto Sellers Wanted:

Any children in the parish who would be interested in taking up a lotto selling route would be more than welcome as we would like to cover more and as much of the parish as possible. Each child selling lottos will also receive a commission. Anyone interested can contact Brian on 0872915864.

Mouthguards:
Gum Shields have now become compulsory for both training and matches in the season ahead. It’s important all juvenile players and senior players  have their mouthguard in place before entering the playing grounds. At Annual Congress in April 2012, a new rule was enacted that made it mandatory to use a mouthguard in all Gaelic football matches and training sessions from January 1st 2013 for all age grades up to and including minor. The rule will now come into effect at Under 21 and Adult level from January 1st 2014. Players will not be covered under the player injury scheme if they are not wearing a mouthguard.

Presentation Night:

The club hosts its Presentation Night for last year’s U16, Minor and Junior teams this Saturday the 8th of March in the Fiddlers Elbow, Carrickmacross. It is free admission on the night with Music from Brendan Mc Cahey. A great night in store, not to be missed!

Recently Deceased:

The club would like to extend its sympathies to the families and friends of Bridgie Hatzer, Killmurray and Annie Kingham, Ardkirk, who have died recently.

There are a number of Foundation and Level One Coaching Courses being run by Monaghan Coaching and Development in the next few weeks for anyone interested. For more information see the Monaghan GAA website or contact Colin Finnegan on 0879090477.

Ladies

U14s:

The U14 squad took on O Neills last Sunday in a tough game in the feile competition. This game was very tight troughout and thankfully the girls came out on the right side of a one point margin but they really had to work for it. They have now qualified for the final in which they will play Scotstown. Well done girls finish the job off from here.
