Senior Football
Currin begin their second ever senior football campaign next weekend when we play Magheracloone. This was meant to be a home fixture but due to the work on our dressing rooms thefixture has been tentatively scheduled for Inniskeen at 2.00pm. Information updates will be posted in the usual places. Best of luck to the boys and the management on what will be an exciting year ahead – it’s the goal of all athletes to play at the highect level.
N.F.L.
Monaghan continued their strong showing with an emphatic win over Armagh in Armagh on Saturday evening last. An ‘away’ win is always a huge bonus and sets us up nicely for the two final home matches. There will be a break next weekend for club games, with Laois in Clones the following week.
National Draw
Our National Club Draw raised €5630.00 for the club, A big thank you to those who sold (and bought) tickets. Unfortunately, we had no winners this year. Full results are on the Currin GAA facebook page.
Happy Birthday
Currin GFC would like to congratulate one of our best and most ‘senior’ supporters, Paddy Mc Carney, on his 89th birthday on Monday last.
Reserve Football
Our Division 3 team went to Emyvale on Sunday last and came home with an excellent win on a scoreline of 1-17 to 2-6. By all reports, Niall Mc Entee continued from where he left off last year with a ‘virtuoso’ scoring performance of 1-10. Well done.
Youth Affairs
Our U12’s went down to a much stronger Emyvale outfit in their first game on Saturday last, in the spring league.
