Monaghan got their N.F.L. campaign ’back on track’ against Louth in Clones on Sunday last in Clones. A poor Louth side were never a threat to a determined Monaghan team who go to Armagh on Saturday night for a vital game. This will be shown live on Setanta.
Celebration Night
On Saturday night last we gathered in our local Community Centre to celebrate an unprecedented and historic year for our small club. There were many trophies on display from juvenile to Senior, both ladies and mens, club and county. Declan Flanagan representing an Coiste Mhuineachain congratulated all for the magnificent successes of 2013 which he said we were the envy of many a larger club. Declan then presented the successfull Mc Avinney Cup winners with their medals. He also presented our three Ulster championship winners, Stephen, Dick and Jack with momentoes of their achievement. These county players had begun the evening by presenting their medals to our successfull youth teams. Presentations were also made to Ellen and Laura on their great year. Our Chairman David spoke glowingly of the committment of all who contributed to such a good year for Currin. He concluded by thanking in particular all the managers and mentors of the various teams.
