Juveniles: After a busy 2013 season the Juvenile Committee will hold their Annual Presentation/Registration evening on Friday March 7th in The Community Centre @ 7pm sharp. In recognition of their achievements in 2013 medals will be presented to the U16 Div 2 Championship Finalists, U15 Blitz winners and U14 League Finalists. Registration of all boys and girls from U6-U12 and boys to U16 will take place. Coaches and Mentors from all teams will be present on the evening giving everybody an opportunity to meet them. Monaghan’s successful Ulster winning teams will be represented by All-Star Colin Walshe, Captain Owen Lennon and by our club members Padraic Keenan, Laura McEnaney and Barbara Ward so have your camera with you as the cups will also be there. Hope to see you all on the 7th.
GAA National Club Draw/Crannchar Naisiunta na gClubanna CLG: The closing date for this draw is rapidly approaching. The response has been very positive with all monies from tickets sold by Corduff members going directly to the Corduff Club. All tickets and money has to be returned to Bernice by tomorrow Friday.
Seniors: Competitive action for the 2014 season commences this Saturday with the 1st round of the Reserve League. Corduff are at home to Donaghmoyne with throw-in at 4pm. This is a good opportunity to shake off the winter blues and come out and support the club.
All-Ireland Success: Congratulations to clubman Padraic Keenan who lined out with DIT Fresher A Team on Friday. They beat St.Mary’s 1-13 to 0-10 to became All-Ireland Champions! Well done Padraic on this achievement.
County Teams: There was mixed fortunes for the County teams on Sunday. It was one way traffic for the Monaghan Ladies when they had a convincing win over Tyrone. However the opposite was the case for the Monaghan men when they came up against a much sharper Donegal outfit with Donegal dominating most of the play finishing on a score line of 2-11 to 0-10.
