Registration: Club membership fee for 2014 is due by the end of March. Full members who have paid their fees receive the benefits of club membership including the club texting service, and the right to vote at club meetings including the Annual General Meeting. Seniors: A Scotstown Senior selection had a good workout against Tyrone side Coalisland Na Fianna in a challenge game on Sunday last in Dungannon. Both sides found conditions difficult with a strong wind to contend with, but Na Fianna made a strong start to the game and did enough to stay ahead for the duration. Scór Sinsir: We had success on three of the entries at the County final stages of Scór Sinsir on Friday last in Tullycorbett, were our Instrumental music, Recitation, by our well known character Paddy Sherlock and our Quiz team go forward now and represent club and County in the Ulster semi-final, which will be held in Dún Uladh centre, Killyclogher, Tyrone on 14th March. The Club would like to acknowledge everyone who participates in the scór and hard luck to the ones who lost out last week.
Fixture Season: Senior football Credit Union League is due to start on 23rd March with Scotstown at home to Monaghan Harps. There is a possibility of a double header with the junior league due to start the same date, with our third team at home against Toome
Reserve League Division 1A: The season starts for our B team with a home game against Magheracloone on 9th March and the following week (16th Mar) away to Latton.
Minors: Round one of the minor football league is due to start on Tuesday 25th March with a home fixture against Monaghan Harps.
Irish Music: Craobh Eamonn O’Muirí CCE will hold a traditional music Seisiún on Friday, 28th February (Tomorrow evening) at 9pm in the Complex, Scotstown. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome to attend.
Referees: There will be a Training Course for New Referees in Football & Hurling on Friday 7th March from 6.30pm – 8.30pm & on Saturday 8th March from 9am to 1pm. Venue: Cloghan. Participants must attend on both days and they need to be over 16 years old preferably. Light refreshments will be served on both days.
