We would encourage all of you to participate in the Lotto and spread the word among your family and friends. If you are not in you can’t win.

Operation Transformation – Well done to everyone who has given commitment to this club over the last 4 months. To finish up- there will be a 4mile walk/ 5k run this Saturday 1st of March at 9am, meeting point is Smithboro Community Hall. Anyone that wishes to be weighed for the last time are asked to come a little earlier. Please encourage your family members/friends to come along and join in too. Remember: no matter how slow you go, you are still lapping everyone on the couch. The hardest part is walking out the front door! Afterwards there will be refreshments served in the hall. Also all members are invited to the Skule Inn this Saturday night 1st March at 9pm to celebrate the success of the club.

Ladies Reserve League – The honour of playing the first competitive game of the 2014 season in Railway Park fell to the Eire Og ladies reserve team who got their campaign underway with a daunting encounter against the Aughnamullen ladies. Despite the youth and inexperience of the Eire Og girls at this level they gave a very credible performance on the day and but for the concession of goals at crucial times, it could have been very close at the end. However with a little more playing time together, better and more successful days are on the way for this team. The panel on duty on Sunday was Fiona Hurson,Lauren Monahan,Joanne Reilly,Shauna Smith,Niamh Tierney,Sarah Mullaney,Dairine Morgan,Vanessa O’Rourke,Ciara McMahon,Lisa McElvaney,Orla Gleeson,Orla Deery,Daisy Monahan,Rebecca Hughes,Nicole Rooney,Orla Reilly and Amy McMahon.

Membership – membership rates for 2014 will remain unchanged at €20 and can be paid to Enda McCluskey. We would encourage existing club members to renew their subscriptions as soon as possible and we would sincerely welcome any newcomers wishing to join.

Minors – A DVD of St Tiernachs successful league and championship finals is now available – please contact Mickey Tierney, Seamus Morrow or Joe Leonard for further information.

Presentation Night – Our annual Club Presentation night will be held on Saturday the 8th March in the Skule Inn. It is hoped a large crowd will gather to reflect and celebrate our year and in particular to congratulate the reserve and minor footballers who will receive their league winning medals. There will also be a number of other awards given out on the night. Before that the minors will be honoured at the Clones GAA club presentation on the 15th February in the Creighton Hotel when they will receive their championship medals as part of the winning St Tiernachs team.
