Gaelic Life Ulster Scór na nÓg Final 2014
The Gaelic Life Ulster Scór na nÓg 2014 final will take place in Silverbridge, Co. Armagh this Saturday evening the 25th January at 7pm. Monaghan will be represented in 3 of the 7 categories. Best of luck to the defending Ulster and All Ireland Champions Drumhowan in the Instrumental Group Section who will take on Castledawson from Derry and Warrenpoint from Down. The Instrumental Group will also be joined by the Set Dancers from Drumhowan whose dancing opposition will be Glen, Derry and Ballyholland who will be making the short journey from just outside Newry, Co. Down. Finally we have the Léiriú (formerly Novelty Act) Group from the Harps. Their acting opposition will be Buncrana from Donegal and Rostrevor in Co. Down who are appearing in their third successive Ulster final having previously won in 2012.
At this stage Coiste Chontae Mhúineacháin would like to wish all competing, the best of luck. Éimear and Conor Quinn, Stephen and Colm Mc Mahon and Finbarr Brennan from Drumhowan will take part in the Instrumental Group. Competing in the Set Dancing for Drumhowan are Blinne and Megan Treanor, Orlaith Brennan, Angie Mc Guirk, Lauren Duffy, Sinéad and Áine Grogan and Christina Sherry. Finally in the Léiriú Monaghan Harps will have Danny and Dervla Tracey, Eoin Mc Cleary, Dearbhla and Aisling Ní Ghallchoir, Helen Mc Crystal and Leah Reilly acting. Beir Bua to all involved.
At this stage a quick word about Scór Sinsir. The Co. Final will take place in Tullycorbet on Friday 21st February. All entries to be with Pauline Rooney (087 965 5031) by Tuesday 11th February.
