Shalotto

There was no winner of the Shalotto held in Atkinson’s Shamrock Bar on the 26th January 2014.  Numbers Drawn were: 8-12-18-24.  Lucky Dip Winners: The Marray family, Lackagh, Sean Duffy, Avelreagh, Gerry Carragher, Moneyvolan, Mary Corr, Annyalla and Aidan and Lorraine Brady, Tiromedan.  The Jackpot stands at €7,000 and this weekend’s draw will take place in the Social Club on Sunday evening next. You may join the Annual Shalotto Scheme by contacting any member of the Club Committee.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL Shalotto tickets must be handed in by 9.30 p.m. every Sunday evening to ensure that they go into the draw.

Mouthguards

Important: Please Note that following the GAA’s Annual Congress in April 2012 a new rule was enacted that made it mandatory to use a mouthguard in all Gaelic football matches and training sessions from January 1st 2014.  It is important that all players comply with this new regulation and are prepared for their first training session of the new season.

MEMBERSHIP
Cremartin Shamrocks GAA Club requests that all membership fees are paid by 28th February 2014. We are kindly requesting that all new and existing club members acknowledge this deadline. It is imperative that all football players update their membership before the beginning of the season.  Fees are Adults – €40, Minors – €20, and for a family – €75.00 (family = two adults and two children under 16.  Any subsequent children €5).  Anyone wanting to pay their membership can do so by contacting our Seamus Eccles or Brendan Mooney.

FUNDRAISING DRAW

Cremartin GAA’s Fundraising Draw will take place in Cremartin Social Club on Saturday 28th June 2014 with a total of €8,000 to be won!  1st Prize €6,000; 2nd Prize €1,000; plus 10 prizes of €100.  Tickets €20 each or 3 for €50.00.  Thank you for your support!

INTERMEDIATE CHAMPIONSHIP

At the County Committee meeting last Monday night Cremartin were drawn against Corduff in the first round of the Intermediate Championship 2014.

JUVENILE NEWS

Coming soon: We will be holding a registration night for our Juveniles in the near future.  More details next week.

Winter Fun and Games starts back this Friday for Junior and Senior infants 6.15 p.m. to 7.15 p.m.  U-10s sponsored by Gabriel Flanagan indoor county league starts March the 8th in Ballybay at 10.00 a.m.  We have entered two teams and are looking for any new coaches to come forward and help out.

U-21 SHAMROCK CUP

Monaghan kick off their U-21 Shamrock Cup campaign against Louth this Monday 3rd February 2014 at 8.00 p.m. in Cloghan.  Please give them your support!!

GAA SEASON TICKET

Seasons tickets can still be bought at www.gaa.ie/seasonticket.  They cost €85. Full terms and conditions can be found at the previous mentioned web address. Those who buy a season ticket can also purchase Club + for an extra €50. This entitles the holder into all Club Championship Games in Monaghan.

Monaghan v Down

The Allianz Football League commences this Saturday in Páirc Esler in Newry at 7.00pm. This year anyone who buys their ticket in the days running up to the game can get it for €10. Match day price will be €15. Tickets can be bought at any Centra or Super Valu Store or at www.tickets.ie.

Congratulations: to Truagh Gaels on their win at the weekend and securing their place in the All Ireland Intermediate Club Final!! They will now play Kiltane (Mayo) in the final on the 9th February in Croke Park.

Hard luck to Emyvale GAA who were unlucky to be defeated by the narrowest of margins in their All Ireland Semi Final against Two Mile House last Sunday.

Congratulations: to Drumhowan GAA’s Instrumental Group who won the Scór na nÓg Ulster for 2014.  Well done to all involved!
