Monaghan GAA supporters are finally enjoying some overdue and richly deserved success, and the 2013 season will long be remembered by all as the year the county secured their first ever and Senior and Minor Ulster championship double.
Bridging a twenty five year gap, the Senior footballers enjoyed their first Ulster Championship success since 1988 by defeating the reigning Ulster and All Ireland Champions Donegal in spectacular circumstances in St Tiernachs park Clones. In front of nearly 32,000 supporters, Monaghan defied the odds with a heroic performance thus ending the heartache suffered from recent final defeats. With the minors bridging an even longer gap of sixty eight years following a dramatic victory over Tyrone, the 21st of July 2013 will go down as one of greatest days in the proud history of Monaghan GAA.
This commemorative DVD recaps the journey along the way to that sun kissed day in July, and coupled with earlier success in the NFL, how the 2013 season will be fondly remembered by all Monaghan Gaels for years to come.
