Emyvale GAA Club Notes for Thursday 17th October:
Ulster Club Junior Football Championship: Following our Championship success we have now earned on spot in the Ulster Club Quarter Final on the Sunday the 3rd November against Ardmore (Doíre) in Clones. Time TBC.
Universal Graphics Junior Football Championship Final Replay: Final Score Emyvale 4-09 Blackhill 1-09
We made no mistake at the second time of asking to clinch the junior football championship title and thereby promotion to intermediate ranks for next season. We got off to a flying start with two goals by Daniel McMahon in the opening three minutes and they added a third in the 25th minute through David McAllister to leave Blackhill with an uphill task at half-time. Half time Score 3-03 to 0-04.
Blackhill to their credit came out and enjoyed their best period in the game reducing the margin to three points by the 10th minute of the second-half with an unanswered 1-04. However that was as close as it got for Blackhill as the lads showed great determination in the final third to finish out deserved winners. Congratulations to all involved.

Gala Night: Monaghan GAA Black Tie presentation dinner will take place in the Hillgrove Hotel on Friday November 15th as the county will celebrate the successes of 2013 when Monaghan ruled the roost in Ulster. International Rules Test: will take place in Kingspan Breffni Park on Saturday 19th October at 7 p.m. We are advising clubs of the group, pass scheme where children under 16 can pay just €3 for admission and with every 10 children 1 adult can go free. This is a wonderful opportunity for children and indeed adults to see Ireland’s finest footballers play Australia.
