Seniors:
The Intermediate Football Championship returned last weekend as the seniors took on Tyholland in the semi final on Saturday evening. Donaghmoyne were quickest out of the traps and went into a comfortable lead along with playing some brilliant football it must be said. In the second half the lads struggled to maintain their dominance from the opening half as Tyholland clawed their way back into the game. The sides were deadlocked well into injury time before Tyholland knocked over a free which meant they took the spoils and ended lad’s chances at Championship success this time round. The lads return to league action this Saturday as they take on Drumhowan at home at 4 o clock. Come support the lads as they look to bounce back and also as they look at hold on to a league semi final spot.
Minors:
Minors took on St. Pats in the league semi final on Sunday last. This game turned out to be a tale of two halves. At half time the lads went in two points down, but a great 2nd half performance saw them run out 11 point winners. The lads have now qualified for the league and Championship final which is a great achievement, but not worth talking about unless the cups are taken home, so keep up the good work lads. The Championship final is Sunday week before the Intermediate Championship final in Clontibret, details to come next week.
Important Notice:
All teams training in the field MUST train in the bottom field when it is available from now on. When using the main field, avoid using the goal area to stop digging up the area.

The club would like to commiserate with Paddy Mc Nally and the Mc Nally family on the death of Concepta Mc Nally, Rathmore. Also we’d like to commiserate with Mary Mc Skeane and her family on the death of her brother Paddy Mc Mahon.

Ladies

Our senior girls travelled to Tyrone last Sunday as they took on Carrickmore in the first round of the Ulster Championship. The girls put in a good shift from start to finish and came out as comprehensive winners as they march on to the next round. This Saturday the girls take on St. Pats of Antrim in the Ulster Championship semi-final at home. Throw in is at 2 0 clock in Donaghmoyne, come along and support the girls as they bid to reach another Ulster Final.
Juvenile Presentation Night:
Our U12 and U14 girls had their presentation night in Lisdoonan on Saturday night last. There were plenty of medals on show with our u12 girls receiving league runner up medals and our u14 girls receiving medals for their tremendous League and Championship double. A great night was had by all and rightly so after the great year these girls have had. Keep up the good work girls!
