Subs used: Darren Woods, Andrew Burns & Stephen Courtney.

After a nightmare start which saw us nine points down in the first half, our team showed great character to battle back hitting 1-3 after half time to bring the margin down to three points by the 40^th minute (1-08 3-05), but lady luck didn’t shine as we passed up two good goal chances while Emyvale to be fair were clinical with theirs. While the fourth goal killed the game and Emyvale added gloss to the scoreboard in the final minutes, we can be rightly proud of the way our players battled manfully to the final whistle in the face of certain defeat. On any given day you can only do your best and on this occasion we had to give way to an Emyvale team who were best on the night and are worthy winners. Thanks also to the Inniskeen Grattans club for hosting the game at their superb grounds.

Charity Fundraiser

Gerry’s Ballybay annual charity dance featuring Declan Nearney will take place in the Pearse Brothers GAA centre in Ballybay on Saturday November 2^nd at 10-30PM. Tickets €15 are available from the committee for this very worthy cause. Supper served.
