Truagh joined Inniskeen in the Silver Hill Foods Senior Hurling League Final when they edged a surprise win in a high-scoring semi-final away to Castleblayney on Monday.
Doohamlet and St. Tiarnach’s will contest the Maguire Transport Minor Football Championship Division Three Final after their wins over Corduff and Emerald Sarsfields respectively in Tuesday’s semi-final. Magheracloone edged a high-scoring Division One quarter-final against Scotstown, while Truagh finished strongly to see off neighbours Emyvale. The Division Two quarter-finals brought wins for Killanny, Cúchulains Sarsfields, Donaghmoyne and Cremartin against Seán McDermotts, Clontibret, Latton and St. Patrick’s.
Truagh stretched their lead at the top of the Monaghan Electrical Intermediate Football League as Currin conceded their match on Wednesday.
