Universal Graphics Ireland

Blackhill and Emyvale will contest the Universal Graphics Junior Football Championship Final after they won Sunday’s semi-finals. Hugh Byrne scored the only goal of the game just before half-time to give Blackhill a 1-4 to 0-5 lead and they stretched that to six midway through the second half. The accurate free-taking of Damien Larkin helped the Seáns hit five without reply to set up an exciting finish, but Dermot Daly’s fifth point made the game safe for Blackhill. Oram fell short of setting up a mid-Monaghan derby in the final as they lost out to Emyvale, who are now in the decider for the second year in a row. Emyvale led narrowly for much of the game and they pulled away in the closing stages to put the result beyond doubt.
