MELLANS HANDBALL
AGM. The club will be holding the agm next Monday evening coming the 30th of September in St.Mellan’s Complex at 8:30pm sharp, we hope to see all present and hopefully new members on the night.
AGM Forms. We circulated the nomination and playing forms to all adult members for the agm, we are asking that all will be returned by Friday night (tomorrow night) to Kevin so all can be sorted out before the agm, also all adult county competitions are kicking off earlier this year so to avoid any disappointments make sure your form is returned by Friday night.
Juvenile registration. We will be holding the juvenile registration tomorrow night (Friday) the 27th in St.Mellans from 8-9pm, all are welcome to come along and register, old and new players both boys and girls are welcome to come along. The juvenile county championships are being brought forward this year as over the past few years have ran on too late into the year, it is penciled in for the 2ndweek in November so get out and get practicing.
HARPS HANDBALL
Welcome back to all our players both young and old for the new season. Some of our new young players are enjoying their first introduction to the perfect game at the coaching sessions. In particular we have a small group of girls now playing regular handball. Our two new achievement display boards will shortly be erected and we are looking out for suitable items to display. The first priority is to get a photo of our 6 All-Ireland champions together. They are Peter Cassidy, Cathal Earley, Martin Mc Entee, Conor Mc Donnell, Terry Mc Elvaney and, recent champion, Ramunas Ramanauskas.
The club expresses sympathy with Johnny Mc Phillips on the recent passing of his brother Tom.
Lurgan Handball club has expressed a wish to visit the Harps complex during the coming season and we will certainly give as many players as possible an opportunity to compete against the Armagh club. Good luck to Conor Mc Donnell in the Garda championships next week. Congratulations to Eoghan , Jakub and Justas on being chosen to attend the Ulster squad training programme throughout the winter. Tyrone footballer, Joe Mc Mahon, certainly put them through a rigorous session in Armagh last week.
