U6/U8 & U-10’s

 No Training for the next 2 weeks,

Under 12’s

A big congratulations to the u12 team who beat Carrickmacross in a hardfought County Final decider in Aughnamullen last saturday in less than ideal weather. Captained by the exemplary Joey Hughes the boys managed to outscore the opposition by 7 points to 2. It was great to see the boys hard work this year rewarded with the win. The  team on the day was: Ciaran Duffy, Ben Carville, Conor Brennan, Jake McManus, Joey Hughes, Conall McHugh, Mikey Carville, David Irwin, Joshua Mone, Robbie Hanratty, Niall Carville, Declan McNally, Jack Madden, Senan O’Brien, Cillian Hanratty, Caleb McArdle, Iain Kindlon, Conor McCooey, Darragh Flanagan-Carty, James Hannaway, Peter McGinn and Daniel Madden.
A hugh thank you is also due to team sponsor Elaine Woods of Pixies Hairdressers and to the mentors and parents who gave lifts, time and support to the boys over the last 8 months.
Coaches:
The club is currently looking for new mentors and coaches to become involved with our juvenile teams. Anyone who might be interested should contact Ger on 087 1384387.

Minors :

The county minors like there county football colleagues couldn’t get the better of Mayo last week . But they must hold there  heads high as they had a very good year reaching the 3 finals of the 3 competitions they entered and also like the Minor footballers won an Ulster league title . Aussie and Liam must be thanked for the great work they done all year.

Gathering :

As part of the Gathering the Castleblayney hurling club are organising a reunion of the 1988 team that won the county Championship 25 years ago on Saturday 5th October. Also that day we will be organising our annual charity match between the past players and the present .

All- Ireland football  Raffle;

The club is running a raffle for 2 All- Ireland football final tickets and tickets can be bought from any committee member for €5 euro. Draw will take place on Monday 19th.
