Monaghan County Council notice to the public travelling to Football matches in Croke Park on Sat 3rd and Sunday 4th August 2013.

In the interest of Road Safety, Monaghan County Council wish to advise traffic travelling to the football matches on Saturday 3nd and Sunday 4 August 2013 in Croke Park that they should expect delays due to Roadworks in progress on the N2 between Emyvale and Monaghan – the southbound lane is closed.
People are advised to plan their journey, leave early, and use existing diversion routes
Existing diversion routes at Aughnacloy via Armagh and in Emyvale village via Glaslough R185/N12/N2 – are signposted and will be reinforced.
In particular Sunday match traffic travelling from Donegal should be aware of a commemorative event in Monaghan town centre commencing at 2 p.m., at which a large crowd is expected.
