Junior Championship. On Friday night last in the Universal Graphics Junior Championship quarter final in Smithboro our adult squad  put in a scintillating  performance , three first half goals ended this game as a contest  the scoreboard reading  Aghabog 1 – 0 Seans 3 -10 as  the teams entered the dressing room for the half time break. The second half was much evener affair but with the result never in doubt our boys adopted a policy of what we have we hold and ended up comfortable winners on a final score  of Aghabog 1 – 5 Seans 4 – 11. In the junior football league they play Killany on Sunday evening (18th) at 5.30pm in Killanny, and on Wednesday evening (21st) at 7.15pm they have home advantage for the visit of Blackhill to club headquarters

Reserve Final On Friday night next 16th August in Rockcorry our reserve squad take on Aughmullen in the final of the reserve Football League Div 2B competition. Supporters should note that throw in time for this one is 7.15 pm.

Under 8/10.   Well done to all the Under 8’s who represented the club in the football blitz in Currin last Saturday, and to the many parents who came along to offer support and encouragement.  Coaching for everyone in our U8/10 age group resumes on it’s usually Friday night time slot 7.00- 8.30pm we hope to see everyone there. There will be a special coaching session led by personnel from Monaghan’s Coaching and Development staff on Wednesday evening 21st for coaches and youngsters who have participated in U8 and 10 blitzs. This will be an hour long session from 7.00- 8.00pm

Cultural Night: We look forward to our next Traditional Irish Music session. This occurs on Friday 13th September, the 2nd Friday of the month. Everyone is welcome to this terrific night’s entertainment! Refreshments served. We look forward to seeing you all there.
