Truagh won the McElvaney Recycling Under-21 Football League Division One Final in convincing fashion against neighbours Scotstown last Friday. An early goal from a penalty by Daniel McKenna set Truagh on their way and with Christopher McKenna also on form up front, the Gaels went on to secure a comfortable win.

Universal Graphics Ireland

Emyvale are through to the semi-finals of the Universal Graphics Junior Football Championship after their win over Blackhill last Sunday, inspired by first-half goals from James Bellew and David McAlister. Meanwhile, Killanny and Toome will have to meet again after their back-door clash finished level.

Leaders Scotstown were held to a draw by Latton in the Drumlin Group of Credit Unions Senior Football League on Tuesday, while Monaghan Harps had a hard-earned win away to Rockcorry on Wednesday.

Monaghan Electrical

Inniskeen moved up to third in the Monaghan Electrical Intermediate Football League with a five-point win over Drumhowan on Sunday. Wednesday’s games saw leaders Truagh battle to victory in Cremartin and Tyholland ease past strugglers Aughnamullen.

Eurotech

Blackhill are now level with Emyvale at the top of the Eurotech Junior Football League after Wednesday’s games. Blackhill were comfortable winners against Aghabog, while Emyvale were edged out by Éire Óg. Oram are up to third after they eased past Éire Óg on Sunday, before pipping Killanny on Wednesday to leapfrog the south-Monaghan men in the table. Sunday’s other fixture saw Scotstown make it back-to-back wins at the expense of Aghabog, while Seán McDermotts came out on top of a low-scoring game against Toome on Wednesday to move within a point of the top four.

Platinum-Tanks-Limited-300px

The group stages of the Platinum Tanks Reserve Football League Division 1A came to a close over the weekend, with Castleblayney winning a high-scoring encounter against Monaghan Harps and Magheracloone conceding to Scotstown, who will play Clontibret in the final this Friday.

Truagh warmed up for Friday’s Division 1B decider against Ballybay with a comprehensive defeat of Cremartin, while Tyholland were narrow winners against Drumhowan and relegated Doohamlet conceded to Ballybay.

There were high-scoring wins for Inniskeen and Killeevan in Division 2A against Corduff and Carrickmacross respectively, while Castleblayney beat Aughnamullen in Division 2B and Monaghan Harps got the better of Clones in Division Three.
