Intermediate League.

Our seniors played twice in the last week. The first outing was battle to the very end to earn an injury time point in Corduff last Wednesday night. Although we got off to the worst possible start by going 3 goals down and the loss of a player and a Goal due to very controversial decision making by the referee and umpire, however the lads produced huge Character to bounce back and show that famous Inniskeen never say die attitude.

Even at the final whistle with the scores level at 4-10 to 2-16, we felt disappointed that we left the points in Corduff.

The Second outing on Saturday night seen the lads play Clones in Pairc Grattan. It was a good bounce back after the championship defeat against them and we ran out comfortable winners in the end by a score line of 1-14 to 0-10.

Both results see us maintain our 3rd position in the league on 17 points with the next fixture at home to Cremartin on the 6th.

Intermediate Championship

Thankfully we have a second bite of the cherry this year; we take on Aughnamullen this Sunday at 1.45pm in Corduff. Clearly the result against Clones in our last outing does not reflect the effort and dedication but in this year by the players and Management, they are eager to get back out and produce a performance to take them into the next round.

Aughnamullen as usual will put up a fierce fight to the end so the lads will have to be on top form.

Please come out in numbers to push the guys on.

Senior Hurlers through to League Semi

Our guys had no game this week due to Clontibret giving the points last Thursday evening.

The Points sees us finish second in the league which sets us up with a Home Semi against Monaghan in Pairc Grattan tonight (Thursday) @ 7pm.

A win will see us against either Blaney or Truagh who play the other.

Again please come out and show your support to the lads.

U8 and U10 training continues on Saturdays in Pairc Grattan for both hurling and football starting at 10 am. Paul O’Connor gave the U10s a training session which was much appreciated by the large numbers who attended.

The 9 aside U12s also trained with Paul O’Connor last Tuesday which was much appreciated. They have a challenge match against Blaney’s 9 aside team on Tuesday ahead of their final on Saturday 31st.

The 11 aside U12’s continue to train on Thursday nights and they are also in the final on Saturday 7th of September

The U14s got back to winning ways away to Scotstown taking the honours by six points on a score of 5-5 to 5-11. Again this team are in the shake up for honours and are busy training for their semi final scheduled for Saturday 7th of September.

The U16s were beaten at home to Clones 1-14 to 4-15 last Thursday and are playing Clones in the semi final this Thursday evening in Clones at 6.30pm.

Best of luck to the lads as they look to do the double.

In a nut shell there this plenty of finals ahead with opportunities to add further silverware to the cabinet this year, so please come and support the next generation of players.
