Inniskeen Seniors 2013 – Intermediate Championship v Clones on 16-08-2013

 

 

Intermediate Championship.

Our seniors went down to Clones last Friday eve in Drumhowan in the 1st round of the championship. Luckily for us we have a back door fixture against Aughnamullen to avail of. The Game will be played in Corduff on Sunday the 1st of September at 1.45pm.

Liberty Insurance discounts

A new initiative has taken place between Liberty Insurance and the GAA and it is for anyone who takes out a new motor or home insurance policy with Liberty Insurance before October 13th 2013 can nominate their local GAA or Camogie club and in doing so will receive €50 discount on their policy from Liberty.

The more people that take out a policy, the greater the financial return for the club basically.

U8 and U10 training continues on Saturdays at Pairc Grattan for both hurling and football starting at 10 am.

The U10s had a blitz on Friday night and all players gave a good account of themselves

The U12s away match on Saturday was conceded by Emyvale and a challenge match against Killanny is planned for Tuesday night to prepare for the semi final.

Training continues for this 11 aside team on Thursday nights at 7.30pm.

The other U12 team have reached the final Against Killeevan on Saturday 31st of August. They are training for this on Tuesday nights at 7.30pm. Paul O’Connor is giving a session with them this week.

The U14s resumed their matches away to Magheracloone on Tuesday night and were unfortunate to loose on a score of 1-14 to 1-12 in what was a very physical and tough match.

They play Scotstown away next Saturday and hopefully they will get back on track as they challenge for the division 1 honours.

The U16s play Aughnamullen away on Thursday night and drew on a score of 2-11 to 17 points.

A home game against Clones on Thursday will separate the teams who are joint 2nd in the league at the moment.

The U16 hurlers had a game against Castleblaney and were short on the night on a score of 4-12 to 4-5
