Seniors:

The Intermediate Football league returned to action on Wednesday evening last as the Seniors took on Aughnamullen at home. Donaghmoyne dominated the opening half and were comfortable leaders at half time. The lads took the foot off the pedal in the second half and allowed Aughnamullen back into the game, but they escaped narrowly with the two points.Their next game was on Saturdayevening at home to Cremartin. This game was nip and tuck throughout which resulted in the sides being deadlocked at 10 points apiece at full time and so the points were shared. Their next game is next weekend against Tyholland in the Championship, see next weeks notes and fixtures.

Minors:

Minors have their first Championship outing of the year on Tuesday evening next as they take on Latton away from home. Throw in is at 6.15 in Latton, get their on Tuesday evening to support your club.

U16s:

U16s returned to league action last Thursday evening as they took on Scotstown at home. The lads didn’t play quite up to standard and after conceding four goals there’s no way they deserved the win, which meant Scotstown ran out four point victors. The lads have their semi final this Thursdayevening at home Sean Mc Dermotts at 6.30. This is the lads last chance to make a bid for silverwear and need all the support they can get, so get down to Donaghmoyne Thursday evening to support this promising group of players.

U14s:

The U14 panel had league action on Saturday morning as they took on Aughnamullen at home. The lads put in an excellent shift and got the result they deserved. They have now qualified for a home semi final next weekend, see fixtures and notes for times.

Mini Fontenoys:

The minis training continues Saturday at 11 in Donaghmoyne. All new children from the ages of u6s up to u10s are welcome. Every child must have a gumbshield otherwise they cannot participate. Cost is €2 per family. Also any parents willing to get involved in coaching are more than welcome.

Hard Luck Monaghan:

The club would like to commiserate with both the Monaghan Minor Footballers and management after their defeat last weekend in the All Ireland Semi Final in Croke Park, but especially to our very own Mikey Murnaghan and Ciaran Martin who represented the side. They as ever have both their club and County proud.

Important Notice:

All teams training in the field MUST train in the bottom field when it is available from now on. When using the main field, avoid using the goal area to stop digging up the area.

Ladies

U14s:

The U14 girls panel took on Aughnamullen at home in the Championship semi final on Mondayevening last. The girls performed very well and came out with the deserved result. Well done to all involved.
