The boys have now qualified for the latter stages of the U12 hurling league. There was frustration for the boys when mondays game against Inniskeen was cancelled at the last minute. Training continues on Wednesday evenings at 6.15pm in Concra. Further match details will be forwarded by text.
A huge well done to U12 player David Irwin, who played during the half time game at the recent All Ireland semi-final between Dublin and Cork. David was a credit to his school and his club and hopefully will some day grace the pitch again for Monaghan.

The U-16s played Inniskeen last Monday night in the league and came away with a good win to guarantee a place in the semi-finals next Monday night.

Last week was a very busy week for Castleblayney Hurling Club.

With plenty of games and fun for all on the day the main attraction was the CENTRA hurling simulator which attracted a large crowd . The two top competitors were Hugh Byrne and Mickey Mc Hugh and the battle of the chairman’s. Stephen Dignam who had being in training for a couple of weeks for this competition beat Jarlath . It is rumoured that Stephen is togging out tonight for the Harps match. The Club would like to thank Pete Mc Mahon and Ray Mc Ardle for organising the day and all those who helped make the day a success.
On Sunday the club brought fifty of our juvenile players to Croke Park to witness Clare and Limerick play in the All Ireland Hurling semi-final.
